SENIOR SW TEST ENGINEER, NRF CLOUD

About the job:
Nordic Semiconductor’s R&D capacity is expanding. We are looking to recruit talented distributed systems SW Test Engineers to join our nRF Cloud team to help develop nRF Cloud product(s). You will become part of the team of engineers at Nordic Semiconductor developing a cloud-based infrastructure for our world-class SoCs.

The Nordic Semiconductor R&D team is a group of talented development engineers of many nationalities based worldwide and headquartered in Trondheim Norway. You will be working closely with hardware designers, system architects and embedded SW engineers as we develop and validate a highly scalable IoT infrastructure to enhance our existing and future products.

Responsibilities:
-Analyzing new nRF Cloud software features and non-functional requirements in order to design and implement automated test cases
-Analyze and plan test coverage for execution of new features together with the team
-Create and follow-up on bugs as well as provide test evidence for further analysis by team members or other projects in Nordic, to ensure end-to-end compatibility
-Develop and maintain a fully automated build-and-test system to detect failures and creation of defects as early as possible
-Programming in scripting languages

Essential education, experience and skills:
-Bachelor of Science in Information Systems or Computer Engineering with preferably at least 5 years’ of relevant work experience or similar qualification
-Experience with AWS Serverless technologies
-QA experience with applications using JavaScript/Typescript, Node.Js, React
-Experience with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest and Cucumber
-Excellent script programming skills
-Knowledge about test infrastructure development and automation using Continuous Integration in AWS environment
-Knowledge about isolation of bugs and tracking them to closure
-Knowledge about Agile Software Development and source control systems
-Excellent communication skills. Fluent English language (written and oral)

Desirable experience and qualifications:
-Experience in Internet and security protocols
-Experience in Git, GitHub and Jenkins
-Knowledge about LWM2M, CoAP, MQTT protocols
-Familiarity with short- and long-range radio technologies
-Experience in Cloud Managed Low Power IoT device deployments is a plus
-ISTQB or similar certification
